How to Setup L2TP/IPsec VPN on Mac OS X
To configure the L2TP/IPsec connection:
- Click the Apple then System Preferences
- Click Network under Internet & Wireless
- Click + (the plus icon)
- Select VPN for the interface and L2TP over IPSec for the VPN Type, and enter ServStrong L2TP for Service Name
- Click Create
- Select the newly created VPN connection

Enter one of the following names in the Server Address field:

Los Angles, California, US: us5-vpn.servstrong.net - Dallas, Texas, US: us1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Miami, Florida, US: us4-vpn.servstrong.net
- Seattle, Washington, US: us6-vpn.servstrong.net
- New York, New York, US: us2-vpn.servstrong.net
- Chicago, Illinois, US: us3-vpn.servstrong.net
- London, UK: uk1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Montreal, Canada: ca1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Sydney, Australia: au1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Amsterdam, Netherlands: nl1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Paris, France: fr1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Frankfort, Germany: de1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Saint Petersburg, Russia: ru1-vpn.servstrong.net
- Tokyo, Japan: jp1-vpn.servstrong.net

- Type your VPN Username in the Account Name field

Click Authentication Settings
- Enter your VPN Password in the Password field, then click OK
- Under Machine Authentication, click the radio button for Shared Secret. and enter "thisismykey" without quotes in Shared Secret field
- Click Advanced, check Send all traffic over VPN connection, then click OK
- Click Apply
- Click the new VPN icon in the menu bar
- Click Connect VPN
- Click the VPN icon in the menu bar
- Click Disconnect from your new VPN connection
